Introducing the Slip Top Base Assembly

Outperforms Threaded Bases. Proven to Last.

We've made it easy! Pelco has integrated the slip top base, door, pole cap, and pole configurations for streamlined ordering. Every component option works together under a single part number. Plus, non-threaded poles simplify installation.

Why Choose the Slip Top Base Assembly?

Outperforms threaded bases. Proven to last.

1

Multiple Pole Configurations

Available with standard pipe or Custom Profile Pole options, all under the same integrated assembly.

2

Dual Locking Mechanism

Built-in dual locking mechanism secures the connection for added security.

3

Integrated Package

Simplifies ordering by combining the slip top base, door, pole cap, and pole configuration under one part number.

4

Better Roadway Alignment

The Slip Top design supports better roadway alignment compared to traditional threaded connections.

5

Increased Longevity

Delivers increased longevity versus a threaded connection, with more than double the lifespan.

6

Easier & Faster Installation

The non-threaded connection makes installation and maintenance easier and faster in the field.

7

Avoids Seizing & Stripping

Because there is no threading on the pole, the Slip Top Base avoids the seizing and stripping issues common to threaded designs.

8

Broad Configuration Support

Capable of supporting all standard configurations and mounting applications.

9

Maintains Strength Over Time

Maintains strength throughout the life of the product, even in high vibration locations.

Outperforms Threaded Bases. Proven to Last.

Our Slip Top Bases deliver the same strength as 12K bases with proven resistance to fatigue and loosening, outperforming traditional threaded bases by more than 2X in independent vibration tests.

The Slip Top Base lasted a minimum of 4,500 cycles under cyclic loads at resonant frequency. Comparative testing with threaded base saw failure around 2,000 cycles.
